Yes. In Dubai's designated freehold areas - which include Sobha's communities - foreign buyers own the property outright in their own name, registered with the Dubai Land Department. No local partner, no lease.
The UAE levies no annual property tax and no personal income tax on rental earnings. Your costs are the one-time purchase fees and the annual service charge on the building.
The dirham has been pegged to the US dollar since 1997 at a fixed rate. A Dubai property holds its value in dollars - a large part of why regional buyers choose it.
